Located in our own offices in Nottingham, we continue to grow and expand, but our story is far from over.
Our humble beginnings
Delivering in the East Midlands is nothing new for National Employer Training (NET). Our journey to success began in 2017, when NET worked in the surrounding communities to upskill local residents to access local jobs with employers such as Autism Plus East Midlands. Our profile increased as we responded to the pandemic through the provision of accessible online support, skills, and advice, leading to our national sector work academy programme with Job Centre Plus to help with their recruitment of work coaches and advisors.
Our ethos is to work with the local community to find new pathways into work for the unemployed. We help provide the skills required to fulfil their career ambitions, ultimately helping them to have the security of a living wage. As part of our strategy, we targeted employers in the area to offer local people access to job opportunities, guaranteed job interviews, and skills training. We take pride in supporting over 85% of our candidates into local employment and our agile and ‘can do’ approach to employers to fulfil their skills needs.
A foot in the door
Our Digital Inclusion course proved to be a key cornerstone in upskilling our candidates with the necessary skills needed to compete in the rapidly changing job market.
Our Digital Inclusion course provides learners with Entry 3 to Level 2 qualifications that are crucial in today’s workforce. It covers all aspects of IT fundamentals, including email, internet safety and use of Wi-Fi hotspots, file storage and security, and Office 365. NET support with all aspects of online benefit management, financial planning and embedding digital skills into everyday life.

Building our customer base
Continuing our success, we have supported recruitment for Leicester King Power Football Stadium, Nottingham Motorpoint Arena, Magpie Security, and MNX.
We have further supported the market share of bars, clubs, restaurants, shopping centres, and casinos in the East Midlands area, expanding our reach and offering services further outside of Nottingham.
Creating NET’s Nottingham home
In December 2023, we took the leap and finally moved to our office at St. Nicholas Court in Nottingham. Our dedicated classrooms provide a modern hub that matches our ambitions and ethos. They have become a safe space for learners to develop their skills and build their confidence.
In the last year, we have welcomed over 300 learners to St. Nicholas Court. We help each one achieve the qualifications required to enter or grow in their chosen industry, and for many, these are often the first qualifications they have gained.
From here, we have also supported a further 300+ learners through satellite sites throughout Nottinghamshire.
