FREE SIA Door Supervisor refresher training at National Employer Training

From 1st April 2025, all SIA Door Supervisors must complete a mandatory refresher training course to renew their licence. Fortunately, if you’re based in Grimsby or North East Lincolnshire, you can get this training completely free through National Employer Training!
How often do you need to renew your licence?
Your SIA Door Supervisor licence is valid for three years. Renewal can be done up to four months before expiry, and the countdown doesn’t reset – you keep any remaining time.
But here’s the catch.
As of 2025, you cannot renew without proving you’ve completed top-up training.
In 2024–2025 alone, it’s estimated that over 166,000 professionals across the UK will need to renew their licences (SIA Business Plan 2024–25). That’s thousands of security workers trying to access limited training slots – act early to avoid delays.
What does the free refresher training include?
